проверил по докам - rw независимый параметр, может быть в любом месте.
про кеширование верно замечено, я бы ещё для подстраховки на отмонтированной SD, перед изъятием дал бы команду

В общем вы оказались правы. В самой mini2440 с корнеой системой по nfs я распаовал архив с корневой файловой системой на sd карту. После этого зашел на нее - файловая структура присутствовала. После перезагрузки аппарата, в общем выдавал ошибку что я опубликовал. Затем зайдя через u-boot на sd карту дал команду вывести содержимое карты:

В результате карта оказалась абсолютна пуста.
Далее, я загрузился в Линукс на ПК и распаоквал уже файловую систему на sd оттуда. Все перепроверил - структура катологов верная.
Опять в u-boot проверил - теперь уже точно структура каталогов верная.
Далее загружаю миньку и высыпались ошибки уже другого характера, будто бы не может прочитать файловую систему:

SD карта нормальная не битая - я с нее заливал в миньку ядро и splash

судя по ошибкам я бы сказал что именно битая карта.

чуть подробнее что у Вас на SD лежит - образ корня в файле или сама распакованная файловая система ?
можно и так и так но я бы рекомендовал на карточке держать незапакованный корень, по крайней мере для разработки

На карте распакованная файловая система. По поводу работоспособности карты: уже 3 шт перепробовал - такая же ситуация...

Сделайте лог в юбуте на команду mmcinit. У меня нормально заработала только 1 карта из трёх.

Попробуйте найти карту не sdhc.

Зы. А почему у Вас юбут не видит НОР ? Может тупо юбут кривой ? Где брали ?

вроде всё хорошо, кроме самого момента попытки монтирования корня.
попробуйте другой тип файловой системы , например ext3 или reiserfs (удостоверьтесь только что оно собрано в ядре не модулями)
в обсуждениях здесь на форуме проскакивали сообщения о пробламах с ext2, может кусок кода в ядре не правильный

u-boot с местного репозитария нормально работает с картами SDHC.

В общем проблема была в кривом ядре, взятом с repo.or.cz. Также SD карту сформатировал одним разделом mmcblk0. Огромное спасибо Сергею aka Setar за потраченное время!

что за параметр в bootargs init=/sbin/init, откуда он извлекается, из раздела ядра или из u-boot-а?

Насколько я вижу Вы всё делаете правильно.
Но получаете грабли на уровне NFS - по умолчанию экспортируется одна файловая система без рекурсии, а содержание каталога /tftproot/rootfs/ это уже другая файловая система
нужно её явным образом прописать экстортом в /etc/exports:
/tftproot 192.168.0.0/16(rw,no_root_squash,sync,no_subtree_check,nohide,crossmnt,insecure_locks)
/tftproot/rootfs/ 192.168.0.0/16(rw,no_root_squash,sync,no_subtree_check,nohide,crossmnt,insecure_locks)

затем обновить конфиг NFS демона (вторая строчка просто контроль)
calculate / # exportfs -a
calculate / # exportfs


параметр init собственно указывает что запускаем после старта ядра
для кутопии это init=/linuxrc или init=/sbin/init (оба файла это всего лишь ссылки на бизибокс)

ещё можно не монтировать локально образ .jffs а сказать что это образ файловой системы, ядро само "войдет" в него
примерно так:
setenv bootargs console=ttySAC0,115200 noinitrd init=/sbin/init mini2440=0tb nfsroot=192.168.150.65:/tftproot/qtopia.jffs2 root=/dev/nfs rw rootfstype=jffs2

P.S.
А вот корень у Вас странный
Кутопия это обычный сильно кастрированый линукс и все каталоги типа /dev /bin /sbin итд. должны присутствовать:

calculate root_qtopia # ls
bin dev etc home lib linuxrc mnt opt proc root sbin sdcard sys tmp usr var www

содержимое корня получилось в результате распаковки архива arm-qtopia-20100108.tar.gz и копирования директории lib содержащей модули ядра.
может необходимо было распаковывать архив root_qtopia-20100108.tar.gz в нем как раз таки и содержатся все необходимые каталоги.
