LPC1700 100-MHz Cortex-M3-based MCU is speed leader 2008-10
Processor features fast memory/peripherals bus Running at speeds up to 100 MHz, the LPC1700 series microcontrollers are said to operate 28% to 64% faster than any competitive Cortex-M3-based MCU available. The chips provide support for communication peripherals including 10/100 Ethernet, USB On-The-Go/host/device and two CAN interfaces all of which can operate simultaneously without bus contention. The ICs have a true 12-bit A/D converter, a 10-bit D/A converter, plus a 1 Mbit/s I?C bus, four UARTs, three SPI/SSP buses, and an I2S bus. The chips’ real-time clock takes less than 1 µA. The devices also feature a quadrature encoder interface, a motor control PWM, and a revision 2 Cortex-M3 core with enhanced power management capabilities, including a wake-up interrupt controller.
